Auburn Hills — In the past few weeks, coach Stan Van Gundy has been keeping an eye on the production of point guards Reggie Jackson and Ish Smith.
And now it could be time to make a change.
The Pistons (29-32) are entering the final stretch of the season and while Van Gundy has expressed concern at the starting lineup’s lack of energy and production, things might have reached a point where he’s willing to do something about it heading into Saturday’s road matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Van Gundy indicated after Friday’s practice that he’s contemplating changing the starting lineup, presumably swapping Smith, the backup point guard, for Jackson.
