AUBURN HILLS -- He watched last season as two of his teammates had their honor permanently emblazoned into the Palace rafters.
Now, it's Rip's turn.
Richard Hamilton will have his No. 32 jersey retired by the Detroit Pistons Feb. 26 during a halftime ceremony during the team's game against the Boston Celtics.
"Our franchise has a great legacy and it's important to recognize the players who made our organization successful both on and off the court," Pistons owner Tom Gores said in a release.
"Rip's numbers speak for themselves. He was a top performer year in and year out, from the regular season through the playoffs and especially during the championship run of 2004.
