The Detroit Pistons took Saturday off, but Stanley Johnson will go to work in Grand Rapids instead.
The second-year forward will be assigned to the Grand Rapids Drive, the Pistons' NBA Development League affiliate, and make his debut tonight at 7 p.m. against the Delaware 87ers at the DeltaPlex Arena in Walker.
Pistons president-coach Stan Van Gundy confirmed the news Saturday morning to MLive, which was first reported by Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press.

It will be a one-game assignment, with Johnson scheduled to re-join the team Sunday for its game against the Philadelphia 76ers at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
