The Pistons, in the final stages of their offseason roster tinkering in free agency, picked up a familiar name on Monday.
A source confirmed to The Detroit News that the Pistons have agreed to terms with former University of Detroit-Mercy standout guard Ray McCallum Jr. on a one-year, non-guaranteed contract.
McCallum, 25, has played three seasons in the NBA after a stellar college career at UDM, under his father, Ray McCallum, Sr.
A 6-foot-3 point guard, McCallum is expected to compete with Lorenzo Brown to be the Pistons’ third point guard, behind Reggie Jackson and Ish Smith, who was signed as a free agent this month.
