The Pistons will announce Tuesday that they will move to Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit starting with the 2017-18 season, a source told The Detroit News on Monday.
The source requested anonymity because an official announcement has not yet taken place.
The development arm of the Ilitch family, Olympia Development of Michigan, announced Monday that the Detroit Pistons and Ilitch Holdings will hold a 3 p.m. Tuesday press conference at Cass Technical High School, but did not offer details. Ilitch Holdings is the umbrella company of the Ilitch family, which owns the Red Wings and is building the arena.
