Pistons’ Reggie Jackson will 'give it a go,' debut tonight

Auburn Hills — After some consideration, Reggie Jackson just thought it was time.

Not Tuesday, but tonight.

The Pistons point guard hasn’t played at all this season after undergoing tendinitis treatments in his left knee and right thumb. After an initial recovery timeline of 4-6 weeks, Jackson will make his debut tonight against the Orlando Magic at The Palace.

“He’s going to give it a go tonight,” a smiling coach Stan Van Gundy said after the Sunday morning shootaround. “We’re going to limit him quite a bit for this first (game) but we’ll try to give him four or five minutes at the start of each quarter and see how it goes.
