MINNEAPOLIS -- Peculiar losing streaks don't last forever and there are a couple of them at play tonight, one each way for the Detroit Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Pistons' longest losing streak, 10 games, is against Minnesota, one of only two teams with a longer non-playoff streak than them. Twelve years and counting for the Timberwolves without a playoff berth, twice as long as Detroit's futility streak.
Meantime, the Timberwolves (5-7) are one of two National Basketball Association teams without a home win, 0-5 at Target Center, which also would seem an anomaly for a team playing so well on the road.
