Dwane Casey's night began with a nice ovation from fans and a video tribute from his former organization. It ended with a jubilant celebration on the court.
Casey's Toronto homecoming was a smashing success. The Detroit Pistons, down 19 points in the third quarter, battled back and beat the Raptors 106-104 on Reggie Bullock's fadeaway jumper at the buzzer.
It was easily the biggest moment to date for a team that's gotten off to a mediocre start (7-6). The Raptors (12-3) are tied with Golden State for the best record in the NBA.
Casey's joy was apparent as he was mobbed by assistant coaches and players on the floor of Scotiabank Arena, and it was clear how happy players were for their coach.
