AUBURN HILLS - The Detroit Pistons constructed their roster to be deep in the backcourt, giving coach Dwane Casey plenty of options and the ability to use three-guard lineups freely.
That depth will be useful the next several weeks with key reserve Luke Kennard out for possibly a month with a sprained right AC joint.
Kennard was injured late in the second quarter of Thursday's 110-103 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at Little Caesars Arena when he ran into a screen set by Channing Fyre. The Pistons said he will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
