Auburn Hills — The Pistons announced Wednesday some moves within their front office and in the coaching staff.
Pat Garrity moves up to assistant general manager and Bob Beyer was promoted from assistant head coach to associate head coach, replacing Brendan Malone, who transitions to a role as a special assignment scout, based in New York.
Otis Smith, who was the head coach of the Grand Rapids Drive also joins the staff as an assistant coach and director of player development, replacing Quentin Richardson, who has left the organization. Andrew Loomis also moved into the role of chief of staff.
