The Pistons announced today that guard Luke Kennard suffered a left knee strain in Monday's practice and will no longer participate in the Las Vegas Summer League.
The team added former Oakland University guard Max Hooper to its Summer League roster.
Kennard averaged 7.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 73 games as a rookie. He shot 41.5 percent from 3-point range.
Detroit Pistons bring back guard Jose Calderon
Calderon, who turns 37 in September, appeared in 28 games for Detroit in 2012-13.
The Pistons open their Summer League schedule Friday against Milwaukee (NBA-TV).
