The Pistons weren’t done dealing following the Blake Griffin deal, after all.
After last week’s big deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, the Pistons made another move ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline. They’ll get veteran point guard Jameer Nelson from the Chicago Bulls for center Willie Reed, whom the Pistons acquired from the Clippers, a league source confirmed to The Detroit News.
Getting Nelson, who turns 36 on Friday, shores up the Pistons’ backcourt with veteran point guard who played for Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy with the Orlando Magic.
Nelson started the season and played 43 games with the New Orleans Pelicans, but was traded last week to the Bulls, in the deal for Nikola Mirotic.
