The Detroit Pistons are signing St. John’s guard Daniss Jenkins to a two-way deal, according to media reports. Jenkins is coming off a four-year college career after spending two years at Pacific and one each at Iona and St. Johns.
He averaged 14.9 points and 5.4 assists during his senior year at St. Johns with a slash line of 44/35/85.
He was a WCC All-Freshman, All-MAAC, and All-Big East during his career.
Jenkins is a traditional point guard who stands 6-foot-3 with a 6-foot-6 wingspan. He apparently shot just 50% at the rim, which isn’t going to get him done.
