The Detroit Pistons made a couple of roster moves before NBA Summer League play gets underway.
The team announced on Tuesday Luke Kennard, last year's first-round draft pick, won't participate in the event after suffering a left knee strain in Monday's practice, and former Oakland University sharpshooter Max Hooper has been added to the Summer League squad.
Hooper spent the majority of last season playing with the Niagara River Lions in the National Basketball League, the top professional division in Australia and New Zealand.
In 23 games with the River Lions, Hooper averaged 4.3 points and 1.
