Detroit Pistons power forward Jon Leuer, who missed most of last season due to a sprained ankle injury, must now recover from an offseason knee injury.
The Pistons announced today that the 6-10 Leuer underwent successful surgery Wednesday in New York in relation to a right medial meniscus injury that occurred during an offseason workout earlier this week.
"Leuer will begin the rehabilitation process immediately and his return to full basketball activity will be updated prior to the start of training camp," the Pistons said in a release.
The Pistons were expecting a big contribution off the bench from Leuer, offensively and defensively.
