Pistons’ Jackson post-procedure: ‘Still chasing Eastern Finals’

Auburn Hills – The countdown for Pistons starting point guard Reggie Jackson’s return begins today.

Jackson had a platelet-rich plasma injection in New York to help ease the tendinitis in his left knee and will miss an estimated 6-8 weeks, according to coach Stan Van Gundy.

Jackson posted a short video on Instagram of him walking on crutches following the procedure with the hashtags #TheCountdown and #roadtorecoverybeginsnow.

“We on the way back,” Jackson said. “Light procedure. We’re still chasing that Eastern Conference Finals this year.”

Following the Pistons shootaround before Monday night’s exhibition home opener against the Spurs, Van Gundy said all he heard was Jackson had the injection and will “more than likely” be at the game.
