New Detroit Pistons coach Dwane Casey has made the first additions to his coaching staff.
On Friday, the Pistons announced the hirings of Sidney Lowe and Sean Sweeney as assistant coaches. Contract terms weren't disclosed.
Lowe has spent eight years as a head coach and 12 years as an assistant in the NBA and NCAA, and most recently served as an assistant with the Washington Wizards the past two seasons.
Lowe will be returning to the Pistons for the third time in his career. He had a brief stint during his playing career with Detroit in 1984-85 and spent the 2005-06 season as coach Flip Saunders' lead assistant.
