Former Detroit Pistons great Ben Wallace, at 6-foot-9, has been chosen to drive the pace car for Sunday's NASCAR Cup race at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich.
Wallace, 43, played for the Pistons from 2000-06 and again from 2009 until he retired in 2012. He helped them to the 2002 NBA championship.
He recently became a co-owner of the Pistons' G-League team in Grand Rapids.
