The Detroit Pistons are trading from their immense stockpile of centers to take a flier on Zhaire Smith from the 76ers. The trade was first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Pistons are sending Tony Bradley, who the team received in an earlier trade with the Utah Jazz.
The addition means another developmental prospect from a contending team after disappointing during their first few seasons in the league. GM Troy Weaver has already added Dzanan Musa (29th overall in 2018), Jahlil Okafor (3rd overall in 2015) and Josh Jackson (4th overall in 2017).
