AUBURN HILLS -- The Detroit Pistons have exercised their two-way contract conversion option on guard Zach Lofton and waived Reggie Hearn.
The 6-4 Lofton averaged 5.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in nine minutes per game during four preseason games. He earned a training camp contract following a good Summer League performance. He averaged 20.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game and was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Year last season at New Mexico State.
Keenan Evans, a 6-3 guard from Texas Tech, is the Pistons' other two-way player.
Two-way contracts were introduced last season.
