The Detroit Pistons have exercised a team option for the 2017-18 season on Stanley Johnson. Johnson is currently in the second year of his four year deal and with this move, the Pistons will have Johnson on the books for at least the next two years. Assuming all goes well this season, the Pistons will most likely pick up his team option in his fourth year as well.
The Pistons liked what they saw from Johnson during his rookie season and believe he is part of their core players moving forward.
