Auburn Hills — The Detroit Pistons are set to make another roster addition, even after the trade deadline.
They are close to an agreement with wing Wayne Ellington, a league source told The Detroit News on Friday.
The source requested anonymity because the deal had not been finalized.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski was first to report that the Pistons and Ellington were close to an agreement.
“Ellington is one of the top available players in the post-trade deadline buyout market, and Detroit will score a significant recruiting victory in signing him," Wojnarowski wrote on Twitter.
