Detroit — Pistons forward Christian Wood tested negative for COVID-19 on Thursday, completing his recovery from the virus, a league source told The Detroit News.
Wood was one of the first NBA players to test positive for coronavirus and his recovery comes two weeks after his positive test was announced on March 12. His positive test occurred two days after the NBA season was suspended, following positive tests by Jazz center Rudy Gobert and his teammate, Donovan Mitchell, the next day.
In the weeks since, a total of 10 NBA players have tested positive; Wood is the first reported to be fully recovered.
