DETROIT - The Detroit Pistons did well to win their first four games, taking advantage of some weaker, banged-up teams and making plays down the stretch.
Facing one of the NBA's elite on Saturday, the Pistons discovered how far out of their league they can look if they're not prepared and don't execute.
The Boston Celtics took control early, led by as many 29 points late and cruised to a 109-89 victory at Little Caesars Arena.
Pistons coach Dwane Casey hopes it serves as a lesson for his team.
"That level of play is how hard you have to play from start to finish and it starts with me," Casey said.
