Detroit Pistons assistant coach Tim Hardaway is contesting drunken driving charges stemming from an April arrest in Oakland County, according to a WDIV-TV report.
Hardaway's vehicle was stopped by authorities along 13 Mile and Lahser roads, near his home. He had a blood alcohol level of .17 percent, according to court records obtained by WDIV. The state legal limit is .08 percent. Beverly Hills police declined to comment on the case, which is ongoing, the station reported.
He appeared in court this week. While Hardaway is contesting the charges, his driving privileges are limited to traveling for "business purpose only," according to court records.
