The Detroit Pistons announced Wednesday morning that they would be joining forces with Flagstar Bank in their first jersey partnership. Starting next season, the Pistons will wear jerseys with a Flagstar patch.
The Pistons are joining a growing group of NBA teams with jersey patch ads, including the Philadelphia 76ers (sponsored by Stubhub), the Cleveland Cavaliers (sponsored by Goodyear), the Orlando Magic (Disney, obviously), the Minnesota Timberwolves (sponsored by Fitbit) and more.
The Pistons and Flagstar announced the partnership at the Nike outlet store in downtown Detroit. Stan Van Gundy, Arn Tellem and Flagstar CEO Alessandro DiNello were on hand for the announcement, joined by Ish Smith.
