FAST BREAKDOWN
Three quick observations from Friday night’s 122-112 loss to the Washington Wizards at Little Caesars Arena
1-GAME OF RUNS – Especially costly turnovers early allowed Washington to get back in the game and especially good 3-point shooting by the Wizards kept the Pistons from coming back. Trailing by 20 late in the third quarter, the Pistons pulled within four with four minutes to play, sparked by the return of Stanley Johnson and the scoring of Luke Kennard. Johnson added some badly needed defense after Washington erupted for 45 points in the third quarter to snap a halftime tie, while Kennard scored all 16 of his points in the fourth quarter.
