Stan Van Gundy is out as head coach and President of basketball operations for the Detroit Pistons.
Tom Gores has a hefty pill to swallow. He now needs a general manager and head coach late in the process. Teams have already hired coaches and begun the process of preparing for next season.
It doesn’t make sense that Gores was dragging his heels over the past week to make this decision. I guess it doesn’t matter much considering the Pistons don’t have many moves they can make.
They don’t have any money to spend and won’t have a first round selection in this year’s draft.
