No breathing room, but Pistons pull out a win in Griffin’s debut

FAST BREAKDOWN

Three quick observations from Thursday night’s 104-102 win over the Memphis Grizzlies at Little Caesars Arena

1-SMASHING DEBUT – For a team that had never played with Blake Griffin before Thursday’s tipoff, the Pistons all of a sudden looked lost without him. The Pistons were 23 points better than the Memphis Grizzlies in Griffin’s 35 minutes of playing time but 21 worse in the 13 minutes he sat. When Reggie Bullock and Anthony Tolliver missed 3-point shots on their final two possessions, Memphis was put in position to win the game with 20 seconds to go trailing by a point.
