DETROIT -Changes to the Detroit Pistons' front office and coaching staff have taken weeks to implement and still are not complete, but they're ready for Thursday's draft.
It remains to be seen if the player they select at No. 42 will be ready for the NBA.
Senior adviser Ed Stefanski, the Pistons' de-facto general manager, will be making the pick. He's been on the job for only four weeks but did a lot of prep work for the draft in Memphis, where he was vice president of player personnel for the Grizzlies.
"I'm a basketball guy, so I feel very comfortable," Stefanski said.
