MLive's David Mayo breaks down Pistons' win over Rockets

HOUSTON -- It isn't the kind of basketball anyone wants to see. In this case, it wasn't even winning basketball.

But it was the only way the short-handed Houston Rockets apparently knew to try coping with the Detroit Pistons' offense, so they intentionally fouled Andre Drummond 21 times over the course of Wednesday's game, sending him to the line for 13-of-36 free-throw shooting.

The Pistons still won, 123-114, but Drummond set an NBA record for missed free throws, and shattered the franchise record for free-throw attempts, in the process.

MLive Pistons beat writer David Mayo was on hand for the game.
