Stanley Johnson really opened eyes with his Summer League play in Orlando.
Even former NBA legend Larry Bird had something to say about his performance in Summer League.
Bird on Johnson via Detroit Free Press:
“I think Stanley Johnson is a spectacular player.” You know Stanley is a guy that takes it to the hole. He doesn’t jump into people to get fouled. He’s a man.”
Larry Bird is one of the greatest players off all time. I’m not old enough to have had the privilege to see him play live, but you can bet that I’ve seen just about every documentary and game replay of him on NBA TV.
