Good news or bad news? I have no idea. But the prognosis is back on Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who left Thursday’s loss early in the first quarter after injuring his shoulder.
KCP has a grade 2 left rotator cuff strain, according to the Detroit Pistons. He has been ruled out for tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz and is doubtful for Sunday’s west-coast finale against the Los Angeles Lakers.
One thing I’m confident in is that a grade 2 means no surgery is on the table for KCP, who has broken out this season and been Detroit’s all-around best player.
