DETROIT - The on- and off-the-court feud between Andre Drummond and Joel Embiid that began last season escalated Tuesday.
The Detroit Pistons defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 133-132 in an overtime thriller at Little Caesars Arena behind Blake Griffin's career-high 50 points.
But Embiid, the Sixers' star center, got in a shot at Drummond following the game, telling reporters, "I think I own a lot of real estate in his head."
Embiid added, "We lost, so I'm not supposed to talk trash, but he knows damn well he can't guard me."
Embiid appeared to be chirping at Drummond throughout the game, letting him he can't guard him.
