The status of Detroit Pistons general manager Jeff Bower remains uncertain as he oversees the team's staff at the NBA Draft Combine this week in Chicago.
But Bower is a candidate for the head basketball operations job, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Other candidates the Pistons are considering, according to Wojnarowski, include Kiki VanDeWeghe, Gersson Rosas of Houston, Ed Stefanski of Memphis and Trajan Langdon of Brooklyn.
TV analyst Brent Barry and former Detroit Country Day star Shane Battier also have targeted for front office roles, per Wojnarowski.
The Pistons are seeking someone to run their basketball operations as well as a head coach after firing Stan Van Gundy on May 7.
