When Marcus Morris took the stage at his introductory press conference for the Pistons on July 10th, he probably still had a lump in his throat. The protrusion first nagged his throat the moment he heard he was traded to Detroit — and, therefore, just over 2,000 miles away from his twin brother, Markieff.
Marcus and Markieff have always been inseparable; doing virtually everything together since childhood. The pair even were exclusively a package deal during the college recruiting process. For most of their lives, they’ve played basketball wearing the same jersey. And now, once again, after spending just under two-and-a-half seasons together in the NBA, they’re apart.
