The Detroit Pistons entered the 2015-16 offseason with a very clear road map for success. They needed a point guard who could lead the second unit competently, upgrading from Steve Blake, and they needed a power forward who could capably move his feet on defense and could shoot. They also needed shooting. Shooting, shooting, and if at all possible, more shooting.
The Pistons will have a number of new faces on the roster to start the 2016-17 season, and a number of familiar faces have departed and been upgraded upon. Guys like Jodie Meeks, Steve Blake, Spencer Dinwiddie, Anthony Tolliver and Joel Anthony have found new homes (or are waiting for a call in some cases), and new guys like Henry Ellenson, Michael Gbinije, Jon Leuer, Boban Marjanovic and Ish Smith are new Pistons ready to make their mark at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
