The Detroit Pistons haven’t done anything in NBA free agency so far this offseason.
After hearing all season about the cap space the Pistons would have, they chose to kick it down the road in trades for the expiring contracts of Joe Harris and Monte Morris.
The former seems mostly like a financial deal, while the latter is a guy who the Pistons could retain for the long term, as Morris is still just 28-years-old and one of the better backup point guards in the league.

But the big free agent didn’t come, which is probably for the best, as the Pistons were able to improve incrementally while still focusing on their young core’s development and not attaching themselves to an onerous contract.
