AUBURN HILLS - An obscure statistic not found in the box score caught the eye of Detroit Pistons coach Dwane Casey on Friday.
"We had a record 375 passes, which means the ball is moving," Casey said.
Casey has stressed ball movement since he arrived. The Pistons haven't executed well enough. They are near the bottom of the NBA in assists and their shot selection hasn't been good.
But the ball was moving in the 124-109 victory over the Atlanta Hawks, the second in a row for the Pistons (6-5).
"I don't want to get carried away, like everything else, good or bad, it's one game, but I thought our shot selection was good," Casey said.
