The Detroit Pistons look much better on both ends of the floor. Part of their issues can be chalked up to the injuries and trades they’ve recently had, which has hurt their chemistry.
The other part of their issues were that they simply weren’t bringing enough energy to each game–specifically Andre Drummond who is the defensive anchor.
But the Pistons have cleaned up their defensive issues in their last two contests thanks to Drummond bringing excellent intensity to the floor. He’s also done a better job communicating with his teammates.
Stan Van Gundy has taken notice of Drummond’s energy level and likes what he’s seeing.
