Drummond makes strides on offense, but work remains

Atlanta — For Pistons center Andre Drummond, the crux of his offseason workout plan has been about honing his offensive game and trying to make strides in his fourth season.

That’s meant hundreds of free throws and intense work on his inside offensive moves. He’s shown some deft touch on baby hook shots with both the right and left hands, as well as a pump fake to keep the defenders off balance.

Some of it was on display in the Pistons’ season opener on Tuesday night, as the Pistons pulled out a surprising 106-94 victory over the Hawks.
