Draymond Green has been vital to Golden State's championship success, often refusing to back down both on and off the court.
That included teammate Kevin Durant, who challenged Green for his decision-making at the end of regulation in an overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night.
That spilled into a tense Warriors locker room after the game, and while there was no physical altercation, Golden State opted to suspend Green for his behavior.
"We just felt like this rose to the level of acting the way that we did," Warriors general manager Bob Myers said before Tuesday's win over Atlanta.
