It’s official. The Detroit Pistons have agreed to trade Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks.
The deal has been reported by James Edwards of the Athletic and dropped by Shams Charania on Twitter:
The Detroit Pistons will apparently take back Dennis Smith Jr. a player currently in the G-League and future draft compensation.
Smith Jr. is not likely to be part of the Pistons’ long-term plans, so this trade really comes down to the draft compensation.
