Detroit Pistons sign Lorenzo Brown to a 10-day contract

The Detroit Pistons had an open roster spot when they elected not to re-sign power forward Justin Harper for the remainder of the season.

Instead of filling the spot with a known commodity, the Pistons elected to go with another D-League star in Lorenzo Brown.

AUBURN HILLS — The Detroit Pistons will sign Grand Rapids Drive guard Lorenzo Brown to a 10-day contract, the first time they have called up a player from their NBA Development League franchise who was not already on their active roster.

Brown will fill an open 15th roster spot, Pistons president of basketball operations and head coach Stan Van Gundy confirmed today.
