Detroit Pistons seeking talent, character with 12th pick in draft

AUBURN HILLS - The Detroit Pistons could use a sharp-shooting guard to help boost their lackluster offense. Or perhaps they'll select one of the many athletic big men available in the draft.

They could land someone who's ready to contribute immediately or someone who needs more developing.

The Pistons should have many options with the 12th pick in Thursday's draft - if they keep it.

"I think in the draft you're looking for talent and character, pretty simply," Pistons president and coach Stan Van Gundy said. "I'm not looking at fulfilling a specific need, maybe position down the road.
