With Blake Griffin in town, many were expecting the Pistons to be in the playoffs and compete for a second round match-up.
The main worry among Pistons followers was injury.
The Pistons had already lost two seasons due to an injury to their starting point guard Reggie Jackson, and the injury shot up with Griffin; who hadn’t played more than 67 games since 2015.
If Griffin and Jackson were healthy, with a new head coach in Dwane Casey, then the Pistons would be in business.
And that’s exactly what happened.
Well, at least the first part of it happened.
