Reggie Bullock, a 6-7 forward for the Detroit Pistons, has been suspended for the first five games of the 2017-18 season without pay for violating the terms of the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program, the NBA announced Friday.
The league said Monta Ellis of the Indiana Pacers received the same ban.
Bullock, 26, appeared in 31 games last season, starting five. He averaged 4.5 points. After hip and back issues delayed his season debut, Bullock appeared in just four games before being suffering a left knee meniscus tear that required surgery.
Bullock is a restricted free agent who could seek offer sheets from other teams.
