The Detroit Pistons and Martin Lawrence have teamed up to launch some Pistons gear inspired by the classic Detroit-set sitcom from the 1990s.
Martin ran for five season on Fox from 1992-97 and featured Lawrence as the titular character, a radio DJ in Detroit and was ahead of its time for embracing absurdity, a bit of anarchy and breaking the fourth wall in the name of a solid joke.
The line of merchandise will feature Martin’s iconic catchphrases “Wazzup, Wazzup, Wazzup!,” characters (many played by Martin himself including the aforementioned Sheneneh) and iconography.
