The Pistons will look to replicate their performance the last time they played the Rockets–which was in late November–where the Pistons won 116-105. In that game, the Pistons had a double-digit lead for most of the night, but nearly blew a 28-point lead in the fourth quarter due to lackadaisical play.
The biggest factor in the last meeting was Kentavious Caldwell-Pope keeping Rockets’ guard James Harden in check.
Harden did nearly have a triple-double–to go along with 29 points–but he was mostly handled through the first three quarters, and unable to find any rhythm.
