The Detroit Pistons are poised to add another piece to their front office shortly.
The team is expected to hire Malik Rose as assistant general manager, a source told M-Live.
Rose, 43, has been the general manager of the Erie BayHawks, Atlanta's G League affiliate, for the past year. He was named G League executive of year this season.
Yahoo Sports reported last week that he was in discussions with the Pistons. Marc Spears of ESPN reported that a deal was expected to be finalized.
Senior adviser Ed Stefanski is the Pistons de-facto general manager, in charge of basketball operations after signing a three-year contract last month.
